Some Press.
“Straight outta Sydney, Blake Freele mixes guitar improvisations with extended electronic techniques to produce a soundscape that hovers in the indeterminate space somewhere between waking and dreaming… Blake sounds a little bit Hecker-esque, a garnish of Fennesz, a sprinkle of Pimmon and a touch of Frost (Ben, not Inspector) – not bad reference points, by any stretch of the imagination. But Pins really hits a resonant tone with this listener when Blake concentrates on being his own musician and developing his own curious syntax.” Cyclic Defrost, February 2011
“Large, distorted sounds created out of bright harmonies and timbres clash against one another on this very interesting album … a worthwhile release and an enjoyable series of pathways into fields of sounds and ideas.” Foxy Digitalis, March 2011

Cheyne Stoking
No, not a metal album. I googled it too!
This is a new track i have just recently been working on. I'm looking for constructive feedback so please comment.
My girlfriend is a nurse and we were talking about cheyne stoking and then the next day i made this. It seemed an apt name for the feeling i wanted to purvey while making this track.
Cheyne-Stoke by Blake Freele
Cheers,
Blake
This is old too, but i like it.
Just a guitar and some delay. I think this was a Max/MSP patch i built in uni, so its pretty bloody old.
Cheers,
Blake.
Jungle rhythms
Heres a funny one. I wanted to play around with polyrhythm/crossrhythm so i made this strangle little track. Nothing serious just a bit of fun. Its pretty old too.
Cheers,
Blake

Embeded audio
Man, this web stuff is new to me so i have finally bothered to have a look around and find out how to add audio to my blog. Done! I am ashamed and a lil' embarrassed it took me so long to get around to figuring it out.
Anyhow, i plan to start being more active online here...and posting more sound.(fingers crossed)
